Business Development Representative - Italy

The accounts you’ll work here define careers. You’ll be opening conversations with financial institutions that move billions.

Financial institutions manage trillions in assets and billions in regulatory risk with PDFs, spreadsheets, and human memory. We built the platform that fixes that. And we’re just getting started.

About the Role

We’re looking for an Enterprise BDR to build and drive outbound pipeline in the Italian financial institutions market. You’ll operate inside a sophisticated GTM architecture powered by AI and enriched data and your job is to turn structured account signals into live conversations with the people who make compliance decisions at Italy’s most important banks, insurers, and asset managers.

Clients like Intesa Sanpaolo, Generali, BPER, MPS, Mediolanum, and Scalapay already trust us. You’ll open the next chapter.

This is not spray-and-pray outbound. The account planning is automated, the playbook is sharp, and the GTM infrastructure is already in place. What’s missing is the voice, the judgment, and the persistence that no machine can replicate. That’s you.

Responsibilities

  • Execute structured multi-channel outreach sequences (email, LinkedIn, phone) across a prioritized ICP account list built by our GTM Engineering team with real personalization, not templates
  • Deeply understand the regulatory pressures hitting Italian banks, insurance companies, and asset managers right now (DORA, AML/CFT, ESG reporting, CSRD) and use this to make your outreach land
  • Qualify opportunities rigorously and hand off to the Sales team with full context: who, what they care about, what triggered the conversation, what the next step is
  • Work in lock-step with the GTM team to refine targeting, messaging, and timing based on what you’re hearing in the market
  • Feed market intelligence back to the GTM Engineering team your field insight makes the machine smarter
  • Keep HubSpot updated with precision. Your pipeline data feeds our forecasting and GTM decisions. This is not optional.
  • Participate in discovery calls and demos from day one to accelerate your path toward a closing role

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of B2B outbound experience in enterprise SaaS or complex services
  • You know what a Compliance Officer at a bank actually does or you’re genuinely curious and will learn in two weeks flat
  • Fluent Italian and English you’ll write cold emails and run discovery calls in both
  • HubSpot proficiency or genuine honesty about your current level. We can train you if you’re honest; we can’t fix it if you pretend
  • You’re uncomfortable when your activity numbers are low. You don’t wait to be pushed

Additional assets include

  • Experience selling into financial institutions (banking, insurance, asset management)
  • Knowledge of the RegTech or LegalTech landscape
  • Familiarity with outbound sequencing tools (Apollo, Outreach, Salesloft or similar)

What your first 90 days look like

  • Weeks 1–2: Product deep-dive, GTM system onboarding, first outreach sequences live
  • Month 1: 4–5 qualified opportunities created in HubSpot, first discovery calls attended alongside AEs
  • Months 2–3: 10–15 qualified opportunities per month at full ramp, playbook contributions, consistent handoffs to the Sales team

BDRs who hit 130% of target for two consecutive quarters move into a closing role and own a territory. It’s already happened on this team.

Why Aptus.AI?

  • Consequence. The work you do here lands on the desks of compliance leaders at systemically important institutions. What you open, they close. What you close, changes how they operate.
  • Craft. We’ve built a GTM machine that most sales teams don’t have at 10x our size. You’ll have data, infrastructure, and a playbook your job is to make it human.
  • Trajectory. We promote from within, we set clear bars, and we don’t confuse tenure with merit. If you perform, you grow. Simple.

This is not a job for people who want comfortable. It’s a job for people who want consequential.

How to apply or rather, how to get our attention

You’re applying for a BDR role. So we’re not going to tell you exactly how to apply.

You can apply on LinkedIn, or reach us through our website at aptus.ai. Both work. But here’s the thing: the way you apply is already part of the evaluation.
The channel you choose, the message you write, the creativity and precision you bring to this moment it all counts.

A one-click apply with no message tells us something. A personalised, well-researched outreach tells us something very different.

There’s no right answer, but there are plenty of wrong ones. A copy-paste cover letter is one of them.

The more you treat this application like the job itself, the more you’ll stand out.
